Get More Relevant Reviews For Your Business
There are a couple of methods we employ to get highly relevant online reviews for our clients business.
One is to mention they would appreciate a review after closing the sale in person.
The other is when sending out a “thank you for your business” email. There, placing a link(s) to the prospective review provider such as Google, Yelp, Facebook, etc.
More importantly, we also give them an outline of the review such as;
If you’re not sure how to write a review, just tell us what you really think! Here are some points we’d love to hear about from you…
- What item or service did you purchase?
- The main reason(s) for your purchase
- The full name of the person you dealt with and the business name
- What you like most about it
- Was there anything we could do better?
- Would you recommend this to friends and family?
In the case we’re doing SEO for a fence company, what you’ll likely get is something like this;
“We purchased a 4ft aluminum fence for our backyard because we needed a safe place for our dogs to play outside. Tom Smith, of Smith Fence Company, talked to us about several options and was very helpful. What we like most about our new fence is the fact that our place looks very nice we don’t have to worry about the dogs getting loose, highly recommended.”
Not only does this frame a great review, but if you look closely, you’ll see that some of the main keywords that any fence company would be going after are in the review.
Does that even matter, you ask? Consider this, Google, as well as other reviews, can be bought, yes it happens because people want to shortcut the system. But, you can usually spot them easily after a while as they go something like…
“Great product and customer service was great too, highly recommended”
You don’t have to know anything about a business to leave that kind of review, and the Google algorithm knows this so these get less weight than the example above where the customer is talking about things that Google can directly relate to the website and the GMB listing.
Hope this is helpful and good luck getting those keyword-rich reviews!
